In the summer of 1899, Fred and Cora Krebs started serving meals to their neighbors, board being $8.00 per week, three meals a day, dinner was 50 cents. Mrs. Krebs was a school teacher and a part-time caterer and Mr. Krebs was a store keeper. From this small beginning has grown one of the most well known and respected restaurants in the industry....
